Definitely a must. I bought a huge three piece cabinet set when my son was younger for storage in both the kitchen and livingroom.
It fits nearly to the ceiling with about one foot left on top. Half is in the kitchen and half is in the livingroom.
We fastened them to the wall with metal brackets until we were sure they were not going anywhere.
I was actually told doing that was silly. It never fell on him so I don’t think I was. =) Better safe than sorry. =)

He said “stud finder.” Huh,huh.
we bought some furnature from IKEA that came with straps (not as fancy as the ones you showed) they consisted of two small thin strips of woven nylon straps a few washers and some screws. i didnt know about these products youve showns so i just improvised.
i used an old back pack strap (much thicker and stronger then the one that came with it) burt the ends so they wouldnt unravle and used a much longer screw and found a stud. it works jsut as good as the fancy expensive ones.
gives new life to those back packs that fall apart after 2 weeks as well. i keep the straps and zippers for other things as well. like adding a seat belt to toys that didnt come with them (crazy coupe cars or waggons) my kids 2 and doesnt understand the “sit till we get there” rule. it has lead to several head bumps before we added the seat belts.

very useful thing. another way to babyproof the drawer/bookshelf is to put something heavy on the bottom shelf so that the kid cannot topple it.
